About Us

If you’re looking for a tax adviser and accountant to take the worry off your hands when it comes to tax, you’ve come to the right place. On top of that, if you are looking for excellent customer service coupled with expertise and professionalism, we are here for you. If you’re looking for business growth and development, that’s what we do.

It’s not all about the numbers and working out what tax you have to pay. It’s about explaining why this is and how it might be reduced. We are proactive in assisting clients, mitigating tax liabilities and thinking outside the box. This can only be done when clients are not just another number but are dealt with as individuals. Our aim is to give that extra level of customer service and attention.

Richard Phipps

CTA ATT(Fellow) FAIA

I AM A Chartered Tax Adviser, accountant, software developer, and general aviation pilot with 20+ years’ experience supporting individuals and owner‑managed businesses across the UK.

I specialise in statutory accounts, UK tax compliance, and tax planning for both individuals and companies, combining technical precision with clear, practical advice. My work spans personal and corporate tax, PAYE optimisation, VAT, benefits‑in‑kind, and HMRC enquiry support.

Alongside my tax and accounting practice, I develop bespoke Android and Windows software using B4A and Visual Studio, creating tools that improve accuracy, automate workflows, and enhance financial modelling.

As a general aviation pilot, I bring disciplined decision‑making, situational awareness, and a methodical approach to risk — qualities that shape my professional work as much as my flying. I also speak Italian, adding flexibility in client communication.

Driven by clarity, rigour, and real‑world outcomes, I help clients make confident, well‑informed decisions in an increasingly complex tax landscape.

Kelly Lewry

ATT
Kelly has worked as a bookkeeper and in the accounting field, working mainly in the commercial arena. Kelly joined our practice in 2012 where she has been trained in statutory accounts preparation. Kelly mainly deals with corporate accounts, PAYE compliance (including CIS) and VAT. She is a super bubbly person who is great at customer service and understanding our client’s needs.

Sarah Moon

Sarah has been a valued member of our team since 1996, bringing three decades of expertise and calm precision to even the most complex areas of tax. She has a particular talent for navigating intricate tax matters and is equally experienced in day‑to‑day compliance work. Sarah primarily supports our larger clients, guiding them through challenging financial statements with clarity, accuracy, and a reassuring depth of knowledge.

Beyond her technical strengths, Sarah is known for her ability to communicate with a wide range of clients. She is fluent in both British Sign Language and is now learning Panamanian Sign Language, enabling her to connect with and support communities often underserved in professional services.

Outside the office, Sarah’s curiosity and energy shine just as brightly. She enjoys cooking, long-distance walking—having completed the North Downs Way and attempting the Thames Path—and immersing herself in opera, reading, and travel. Her recent adventures have taken her to Sri Lanka and Costa Rica, reflecting her love of exploring new cultures. Sarah is also heavily involved in charity work, giving her time generously to causes close to her heart.

Her blend of technical excellence, compassion, and wide-ranging interests makes Sarah an exceptional colleague and a trusted adviser to the clients she supports.

Molly

Meet Molly — Our Chartered Cats Adviser

Every good practice needs a specialist with sharp instincts, impeccable timing, and a talent for putting clients at ease. At our firm, that role belongs to Molly, our resident Chartered Cats Adviser.

Molly joined us in the most Molly way possible: one cold, wet day she appeared at the office window, gently bobbing her head as if to say, “Excuse me, I believe you have a vacancy.” We took the hint. She was welcomed in, dried off, fed, and — as cats tend to do — she decided she was staying. The rest is history.

Since then, Molly has become an integral part of the team. She spends most of her working day in deep strategic contemplation (also known as sleeping), but she always makes time for staff welfare checks and client relations. Many clients pop in not just for tax advice, but for a moment with Molly — a stroke, a purr, or the honour of offering her a treat.

She is gentle, curious, and unfailingly people‑friendly. Whether she’s greeting visitors, supervising meetings with Richard, or reminding the team of her furry needs, Molly brings warmth, calm, and a touch of charm to the office.

We rescued her — but in truth, she rescued us right back.
